Mike and Susan, this was such a beautiful reflection. I especially loved the image of Wisdom rejoicing over creation and then pausing with even greater delight when she beheld humanity made in God's image. As someone with cerebral palsy, I know how easy it can be to focus on what our bodies cannot do rather than on the truth that we were intentionally handcrafted by God. Your reminder that God didn't merely create humanity in general, but formed each of us individually with purpose, was deeply encouraging. Thank you for pointing us back to the wonder that we are not accidents to be tolerated, but image bearers in whom God delights. That truth has the power to change how we see ourselves and how we worship our Creator.
God bless your dear heart, Ally! And thank you for such a beautiful response! Your thoughtful, powerful words brought tears to both of us. We are so thankful it was an encouragement to you... for you have been to us. In fact, I want to stay close after reading your story. So you've just gained a new subscriber! Thank you again. ♥️
Thank you both so much. Your kind words truly mean more than I can express. I feel extremely honored that the two of you have chosen to subscribe to my Substack. I'm just as excited to be a new subscriber to yours. I'm looking forward to learning from the wisdom and biblical insight you share through your posts. One of the greatest blessings of Substack has been meeting so many wonderful people who genuinely love the Lord, and I already know I will be blessed by getting to know both of you. Thank you again for your encouragement. It means so much to me. ❤️
And we feel just as honored, Ally. So thank you as well! We look forward to following your story (we have some things in common there, by the way. I've had breast cancer/mastectomy as well), so our paths coincide. We couldn't agree more with you about the wonderful people who genuinely love the Lord that we've had the blessing to connect with here on Substack. It's so refreshing and truly encouraging, and I love staying in touch with those like yourself who have specifically reached out. So let's make sure to do that. Praying that God strengthen and bless you and your family and your work here especially.
